Nila B

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

ProfileAge: Born in March 2026. Gender: female. neutered: noCharacter: very friendly, puppy-like playfulSize: still growing, will be small to medium-sizedIm Shelter since: May 2026Family: siblings Maoma, Anani, RW 21, RM 16 & RM 34Hello dear people! I am Nila and among my siblings, I stand out immediately. My black, slightly scruffy fur shines in the sun and the white markings make me unmistakable.Sometimes I wonder if my family would recognize me if they saw me. Would they say: "There she is. Exactly her, we've been looking for her."Here in the shelter, I am doing well. I have enough to eat, a safe place, and many little paw friends to play with. But when the day grows quiet and we puppies curl up to sleep, I wish for something that no shelter in the world can replace: a home.Where I am not just one of many. Someone who gets to know my little quirks. Someone who laughs at my silly ideas and comforts me when I get scared.I am still young and have my whole life ahead of me. All that I lack is you. Maybe our story begins right now… Interested? If you are interested in Nila, please fill out our interest form (), or write us an email or a message on Facebook. Nila is ready to travel and can travel to Germany with the next transport. Our dogs travel legally with Traces. Traces refers to the database system that monitors the entire animal transport within the EU. The dogs travel neutered (if old enough), vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed, and have an EU passport. Additionally, for dogs over 12 months old, a rapid test for the following Mediterranean diseases is conducted before travel arrangements: Borreliosis, Anaplasmosis, Ehrlichiosis, Dirofilariosis, and leishmaniasis. Alexandra B. has taken the paternity for Nila and ensures a full plate. Many thanks on behalf of the dogs!

SteckbriefAlter: März 2026 geboren. Geschlecht: weiblich. Alles, was mir fehlt, bist du. Vielleicht beginnt unsere Geschichte genau jetzt… Interesse geweckt?

About Nila B

What life with Nila B looks like

Nila B is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Seelen für Seelchen e.V. in Alfter.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nila B, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nila B?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Seelen für Seelchen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nila B on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nila B if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Seelen für Seelchen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nila B already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nila B isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Seelen für Seelchen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nila B and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
