adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process May we introduce you to Noah, the sweet son of Akota! At just three months old, standing 33 cm tall and weighing 6 kg, this little cutie is a real stunner. His short fur is a wonderful mix: black and white with beautiful brown shading in the black. Noah is more on the quiet, relaxed, and observant side. The words "calm and reserved" best describe him. Instead of diving into the biggest puppy commotion, he prefers to quietly observe what's happening around him. He's not very energetic and prefers to be a bit more reserved. This makes him the ideal companion for people looking for a balanced puppy. He's already great with children and seeks comfort and security with people. Noah loves treats and food – that makes training a breeze! He's already accepting a collar and leash, but of course, he still needs a lot of practice. Noah was found together with his family by the roadside and is now in safety at a foster home near Zalau. Now he's ready for his biggest adventure: your home! Since Noshd Mama is an AmStaff mix, Noah will grow into a dog where, during puberty (the teenage phase), the typical terrier characteristics may become more pronounced. Even though he's currently quiet, Noah will need your consistent, but loving upbringing more than ever during this time! Only informed, patient, and leadership-focused people can safely guide him through this exciting phase, which is crucial for his personality development. Please note: Due to the breed characteristics of his mother, it must be clarified in advance whether the entry and husbandry at your location (note: importing is prohibited in Germany!) are allowed and what conditions apply to this precious little one. We are looking for informed people who are willing to raise Noah with patience, love, and consistency to be a great companion and to handle all formalities. Uncertain if Noah can move in with you? We are happy to help clarify. Noah travels microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated, together with his EU pet passport, to his new family. But also a foster home would be a good start for the little one. Thank you, Claudia B., for naming the sweet Noah and setting him on the path to happiness. As of 14.11.

Stand: 14.11.2025

About Noah

What life with Noah looks like

Noah is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Noah, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Noah?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Noah on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Noah if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Noah already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Noah isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Noah and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
