Nola

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 5 years

Gender: female neutered: yes Birth year: 2020 Origin: Bulgaria Since in Wörrstadt: 18.07.2021 Shoulder height/weight: 55 cm / 20 kg Breed: mixed breed Hello, I am Nola, an agile, loving mixed-breed female dog. I am very active, loving long walks, playing, and running around, both with my people and with other dogs. My four-legged playmates should be quite robust, as I am not for the faint-hearted. In my new home, however, I wouldn't mind being a little princess and having lots of closeness with my people. I can be very cuddly, relaxed, and clingy amidst all the action I love. Honestly, I would love nothing more than just being there. On the leash, I still have a bit of my independent streak, and can make quite a bit of noise when I see another dog. We still need to work on that, and it's important to show me that other dogs don't mean anything bad. I am, fortunately, very eager to learn and can talk about anything over a good treat. I am well-behaved in the house, travel well in the car, and get along well with nice children. All in all, I am a very lovable little hound who truly deserves to lie comfortably on the couch in her own home, getting to know the world with her people. If you'd like to meet me, get in touch, I'm waiting!

About Nola

What life with Nola looks like

Nola is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutz Wörrstadt in Wörrstadt.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nola, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nola?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutz Wörrstadt handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nola on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nola if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutz Wörrstadt will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nola already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nola isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutz Wörrstadt early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nola and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
