adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Nola has found a home! Her story. Nola has lived with us for 3 months now and feels very comfortable. She likes her doggy friends and is attached to people. She is an absolute "happy-go-lucky dog." Small, but oh – a little guy with power. House-trained she was within a short time. She loves our garden and happily explores between bushes and trees. And – new insight: Nola is (also) a desk dog. She likes to lie in the office under the desk and provides company when work is being done. Nola lives and behaves like a "normal dog" – she doesn't mind stairs. She can go for hours of walking and running. Now she also doesn't pull on the leash but walks nicely by. Her cuddles she gets confidently and with determination: As soon as a spot on the sofa offers itself, it's taken. She plays detailed games with our female dog and is persistent here too. If necessary, she just throws the toy around. But Nola also understands boundaries and now understands what no means. With consistent training, Nola will surely develop into a well-behaved dog. As the relationship to "her" person is close and demanding, it would be wonderful if Nola could soon move into a permanent home. Her story: The little female dog, around 7 months old, was hit by a car in Romania and then left. Fortunately, we found her in the roadside ditch and brought her to the vet immediately. Unfortunately, due to the severity of her rear leg injury, it had to be amputated. And so the little mouse now lives her life on three legs. After the clumsy puppy phase, then comes puberty. In which she tests her owners and her limits. She needs someone who stands by her during this hormone chaos and provides the necessary understanding and support so that she can grow into a great dog. Nola is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas and can bring her own EU pet passport. For an adoption fee of 500 Euros, she can move in. Would you like to give the three-legged heartbreaker a home? Many thanks Sarah Alexandra! You named Nola! As of 19.06.

Vielen Dank Sarah Alexandra! Du hast Nola ihren Namen geschenkt. About Nola

What life with Nola looks like

Nola is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nola, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nola?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nola on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nola if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nola already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nola isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nola and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
