Compatible with females: living with other calm female dogs is not a problem. German shepherd with a gentle and deep gaze: despite his age, Omero still has a lot of dignity, hope and desire for company. Weaknesses: Advanced age: he has lived his whole life without ever knowing the warmth of a real family. Declining health: he is losing use of his hind legs and requires regular physiotherapy (twice a week). Not much considered: no one has ever stopped to look at his special little face... too many only see the age and illness. Health condition and daily management. He has completely lost use of his hind limbs due to a congenital degenerative myelopathy. For this reason, it is necessary to manually express his bladder several times a day. He follows physiotherapy twice a week, essential to support him and slow the progression of the disease, maintaining the best possible well-being. Ideal family: A family in Padua or province: to continue physiotherapy at the clinic that has been caring for him all along (veterinary costs are our responsibility). Patient people with big hearts, able to look beyond physical appearance and welcome a special soul with delicate needs. A home without too many stairs and serene, where Omero can finally know what it means to be "at home".

Punti di Forza: Anima dolce e paziente: Omero è un cane gentile che ha sempre dato amore senza mai chiederlo. Sa godersi il contatto umano con discrezione e gratitudine. Compatibile con femmine: la convivenza con altre cagnoline tranquille non è un problema. Pastore tedesco dallo sguardo tenero e profondo: nonostante la sua età, Omero ha ancora tanta dignità, speranza e voglia di compagnia. Punti di Debolezza: Età avanzata: ha vissuto tutta la sua vita senza mai conoscere il calore di una famiglia vera. Salute in declino: sta perdendo l’uso delle zampe posteriori e necessita di fisioterapia regolare (due volte a settimana). Poco considerato: nessuno si è mai soffermato su quel suo musetto speciale… troppi vedono solo l’età e la malattia Condizione di salute e gestione quotidiana. Ha perso totalmente l’uso degli arti posteriori a causa di una mielopatia degenerativa congenita. Per questo motivo è necessario premere manualmente la vescica più volte al giorno.Segue fisioterapia due volte a settimana, fondamentale per supportarlo e per rallentare la progressione della malattia, mantenendo il miglior benessere possibile. La famiglia ideale: Una famiglia in Padova o provincia: per continuare la fisioterapia presso la clinica che lo segue da sempre (le spese veterinarie sono a nostro carico). Persone pazienti e dal cuore grande, capaci di guardare oltre l’aspetto fisico e accogliere un’anima speciale con bisogni delicati.
