Ñoño

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

Ñoño - a strong character with a big heart is looking for his forever home. Ñoño is a beautiful young mixed breed dog who came to the Spanish animal shelter as a small puppy in January 2025 and now lives in Germany. Unfortunately, he is once again losing his home through no fault of his own - a difficult step for his family, who love him very much, but must separate from him due to health reasons. The sunshine has grown into a strong, confident dog. In his home, he shows himself to be loving, attentive and very people-oriented, but also willful and full of energy. Ñoño is housebroken, sleeps through the night reliably and can now be left alone for about two to three hours. Although car rides are not yet among his favorite activities, he bravely goes along. Outdoors, he is a young, active dog who loves movement and entertainment. Cyclists, joggers or pedestrians hardly impress him - but during dog encounters on a leash, he currently shows himself to be very excited. He pulls strongly, jumps forward and is difficult to calm down. Although Ñoño is in dog school and is working hard to become more relaxed, interested parties should be aware of this and capable of meeting him physically. On the off-leash area, however, he is the complete opposite: friendly, playful and in play mode with every dog. He loves to run and play and is a welcome companion with other dogs who also enjoy playing. At home, Ñoño is a pleasant roommate who likes being with his humans, but is not an especially "cuddle bear". He still enjoys closeness - in the form of petting and shared time. Ñoño is a young, strong dog in the middle of adolescence with a clear mind and own will. He needs people who are physically and mentally up to him, who give him guidance and enjoy challenging and developing him. In dog school, not only his excitement during dog encounters is addressed, but he is also diligently working on his leash training, recall and handling environmental stimuli. Ñoño is constantly learning and it would be great if he could continue to work on himself with his new family. Ñoño is currently not suitable for small children. His energetic, lively nature could accidentally knock them over. Teenagers or steady adults, however, are no problem for him. A home with a garden or yard where he can regularly let off steam would be ideal, as well as involved people who enjoy movement and training. Whoever lets Ñoño into their heart does not get a beginner's dog, but a loyal, intelligent and characterful companion who gives everything with the right guidance! Here you go to Ñoño's video.

DE·Show original

About Ñoño

What life with Ñoño looks like

Ñoño is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. in Germany.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ñoño, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ñoño?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ñoño on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ñoño if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ñoño already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ñoño isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ñoño and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
