Adopt NORIS

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 4 years

NORIS - handsome boy dog - male, 4 years old, born approx. 01/2022, shoulder height approx. 40–45 cm, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, EU pet passport. - Still waiting in Romania - Noris was found in Romania together with his two siblings, Nada (who, like their mom Numa, has already found a home) and Nanuk (see www.sos-strassentiere.de) on a busy road—just in time before they could have been run over while crossing. Mama Numa lovingly cared for her lively brood. Now the little ones are long grown up and looking for homes of their own. Noris is a friendly, well-balanced dog who enjoys playing and roughhousing with his siblings but also cuddles affectionately with his foster mom. Since Noris came into human care at an early age, he is very open and people-oriented. He has no fear of being touched and also likes children. He lives in his private foster home with other dogs and cats—and gets along fine with all of them; he even patiently endured his new haircut. By now, puppy Noris has grown into a handsome, cheerful young dog who longs for a loving home of his own. Of course, NORIS still needs to learn the basics of dog obedience. We are looking for a loving forever home or a foster home for NORIS. Prior to travel arrangements, tests will be conducted for babesiosis, borreliosis, ehrlichiosis, anaplasmosis, dirofilariasis, and leishmaniasis. - Noris is still in Romania.

NORIS - hübscher Hundebub - Rüde, 4 J., geb. ca. 01/2022, SH ca. 40–45 cm, kastriert, geimpft, gechipt, EU-Heimtierpass.

About NORIS

What life with NORIS looks like

NORIS is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tier-Not-Hilfe in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting NORIS, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about NORIS?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tier-Not-Hilfe handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw NORIS on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt NORIS if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tier-Not-Hilfe will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is NORIS already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if NORIS isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tier-Not-Hilfe early rather than rehoming privately; they know NORIS and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
