Odin

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy

Odin has been at the animal shelter since 19.02.2026. He arrived in a sad condition, matted, lousy fur, attached ticks, lots of fleas. This poor creature surely didn't have an easy life, which led to such neglect. At the animal shelter, he gets a lot of warmth, pats, and attention from the people there. Thanks to this, Odin is opening up beautifully, and an additional advantage is his friendly attitude towards dogs and people. He really likes to snuggle and longs for human company. He gets a lot of pleasure from walking, while being extremely calm and affectionate. Due to neglect, he seems like an older dog, and he has a cataract in his eye. However, this doesn't hinder him at all, as he handles everything very well. Now he just needs spring to be properly bathed, combed, and to visit an ophthalmologist. One can imagine how beautiful a dog is hidden under this mask of neglect. Of course, the best solution is to find him a home and a loving caregiver.

About Odin

What life with Odin looks like

Odin is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku in Poland.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Odin, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Odin?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Odin on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Odin if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Odin already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Odin isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku early rather than rehoming privately; they know Odin and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
