Oksana

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 6 years

Oksana is a young female dog, approximately born in January 2020, of KÁJ type, who came from the Miskolc municipal pound into our care. Oksana arrived with a very large injury or tumor, which will be examined soon. This young dog has not had a happy puppy life so far, but can provide a lot of joy and happiness to a beloved owner. We are looking for a home for her where she can be a full-fledged family member. We hope someone comes along who gives her everything she may have not received so far: a home worthy of a dog, a secure and loving environment. Friendly with people, but dominant towards other dogs. We are looking exclusively for an active, knowledgeable, experienced dog owner. We do not give her for guarding the shelter or as a garden ornament! Dog school is definitely mandatory! We recommend her as the only dog. Oksana is currently in quarantine, but later she would like to move to a new, permanent family, vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered.

About Oksana

What life with Oksana looks like

Oksana is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Noé Állatotthon in Budapest.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: Arrived with large injury or tumor that requires examination

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Oksana, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Oksana?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Noé Állatotthon handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Oksana on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Oksana if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Noé Állatotthon will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Oksana already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Oksana isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Noé Állatotthon early rather than rehoming privately; they know Oksana and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
