Oletta

Cocker Spaniel · Female · Adult · 5 years

06-07-26 Oletta is a very fun lady who has come into our care from a breeder. She is an affectionate little girl with a lovely gentle nature. Oletta adores a tummy rub and is always on the lookout for a bit of fuss and attention. She is great with other dogs and enjoys having a run around with her friends before coming over for cuddles. She also loves carrying a toy around and is the cutest little lady! Oletta gets on wonderfully with her kennel friends and relies on their company for comfort, so she will need a kind resident dog in her new home to help guide her and give her the reassurance she needs as she settles in and finds her paws. She can live with teenagers, aged 13+ who allow her time to settle in, and give her plenty of belly rubs! As Oletta has never lived in a home before, she will need to learn all about house training and the other basics of home life. Her new family will need to give her time to settle into her new routine and learn at her own pace. Oletta can already walk on a lead, so once she has settled into her new home, she would enjoy one or two walks around the local area with her resident dog. Oletta has arrived slightly overweight, so she will need a good diet and gentle exercise to help her reach and maintain a healthy weight. This will need to be continued in her new home. Oletta is a happy, easy-going girl who takes life in her stride. She has so much love to give and will make a wonderful companion for a family looking for a fun, affectionate dog to share their lives with. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.

About Oletta

What life with Oletta looks like

Oletta is a adult cocker spaniel dog waiting at Many Tears Animal Rescue in Llanelli.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Oletta, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Oletta?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Many Tears Animal Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Oletta on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Oletta if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Many Tears Animal Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Oletta already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Oletta isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Many Tears Animal Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Oletta and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
