OLGA

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 8 years

Olga is looking for people who will give an older dog a chance. Our Olga has been waiting for so long to finally be seen! She has been living in the animal shelter for over five years and has had to watch as other dogs find their homes. So far, hardly anyone has shown interest in her. Maybe because she is medium-sized and black? Olga has deserved it so much to finally arrive. Olga needs a rescue sponsorship of € 250.00 for her departure. Further information can be found at the end of the text or on the association's homepage: seelentiere.org/ihre-unterstuetzung/patenschaften/ Olga is an incredibly calm, loving and unobtrusive female dog. She doesn't need big adventures and makes hardly any demands. She just wants a person who gives her security and shows her how beautiful a home can be. We are afraid that Olga will not survive another winter in the animal shelter. She doesn't have as much time as a young dog - should she not finally spend her last years in a warm bed by the side of loving people? We are looking for people with a heart who do not look for a perfect dog, but give an older soul a chance. People who show Olga that she is also worth being loved. Who will give Olga her late happiness? Her mediator Christin is looking forward to your inquiry by WhatsApp at 07 or by email to christin.org. You can also apply directly via our self-disclosure, which you can find here: www.seelentiere.org/vermittlung/selbstauskunft (Copy the link and paste it in a new window). Olga will be neutered, fully vaccinated, dewormed and chipped with an EU pet passport after a positive pre-check for a fee of € 500.00. A 4DX Snaptest will be carried out before departure. Olga will not be given away in a kennel or outdoor enclosure. Rescue sponsorship: With a rescue sponsorship of € 250.00, all costs for the preparation for the

About OLGA

What life with OLGA looks like

OLGA is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Seelentiere e.V. in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting OLGA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about OLGA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Seelentiere e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw OLGA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt OLGA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Seelentiere e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is OLGA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if OLGA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Seelentiere e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know OLGA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
