Olli is a so-called Diepholzer Goose. Olli came from a goose farm near Rehden, which was very poorly managed by the owners. The geese were not confined at night there— and so the fox would regularly come by, causing the number of animals to steadily decline. When the foster home caretaker became aware of the situation, only Olli was left and was promptly moved to Schutzengel für Tiere e.V. In the photo, you can see how shy she was at first and how thrilled she was to have a pond to swim in!

Olli ist eine sogenannte Diepholzer Gans. Olli stammt aus einer Gänsehaltung in der Nähe von Rehden, die von den Besitzern sehr nachlässig betreut wurde. Die Gänse wurden dort nachts nicht eingesperrt - und so kam immer regelmäßig der Fuchs, wodurch sich die Zahl der Tiere mehr und mehr dezimierte. Als der Betreuer der Pflegestelle darauf aufmerksam wurde, war nur noch Olli übrig und durfte gleich zu Schutzengel für Tiere e.V. umziehen. Auf dem Foto können Sie sehen, wie schüchtern sie anfangs war und ihr Glück kaum fassen konnte, einen Teich zum Baden zu haben!
