Orina und Orino

European Shorthair · Unknown · Kitten · 4 months

Orina and Orino are two small kittens, born in April 2026, who escaped life on the streets. Now they are safe - but what they still need is their very own home. A place where they can grow up in peace and learn how beautiful a cat's life can be. Orino, the little black-and-white cat, has a very special facial marking. Above one eye, he wears a black spot that makes him look a bit like a little pirate. His sister Orina is a beautiful little tortoiseshell cat with a very special coat pattern. Due to a past cat flu, she has a slight clouding on her left eye. But Orina doesn't let that get in the way of her joie de vivre and wants to discover the world just like any other kitten. The animal shelter is hopefully only a short stopover. Now is the time for them to discover the world, play, romp, and learn something new every day - and then cuddle a lot. Instead, their world is currently shaped by the hustle and bustle of shelter life. Many noises, unfamiliar people and many voices. No wonder the two are still a bit cautious. But their curiosity is there. You can already see that curious explorers are hiding in them. Their adventure shouldn't have to wait at the shelter. It's waiting outside. We wish the two a loving home where they can enjoy outdoor time after a suitable acclimatization period and castration. Their new home should therefore be in a traffic-calmed area. Would you like to show the two the big world? Then I look forward to a message from you. Orina and Orino will travel vaccinated, chipped and tested for FIV and FeLV. Before departure, they will also receive a parasite prophylaxis. The two are currently too young for castration. We place nationwide.

About Orina und Orino

What life with Orina und Orino looks like

Orina und Orino is a large puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at PfotenFreunde Sardinien e.V. in Germany.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Orina und Orino, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Orina und Orino?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. PfotenFreunde Sardinien e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Orina und Orino on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Orina und Orino if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — PfotenFreunde Sardinien e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Orina und Orino already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Orina und Orino isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with PfotenFreunde Sardinien e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Orina und Orino and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
