He is still so afraid that we cannot even touch him. He needs time, patience, and lots of love to learn that he is safe and that he can trust people. We know very little about his past, but his fear makes us believe that he may have grown up in a bad environment — or simply in a place where he received no care, love or affection. So with Oscar, we are taking things very slowly. We don’t want to pressure him. We want to give him the time he needs to understand that he is finally safe and that no one is going to hurt him. When other dogs come close to him, he remains calm and seems to enjoy their presence. Oscar needs someone to believe in him and support him from afar through a virtual adoption.
