(ph)ZUHAUSE

Female · Young · 2 years

Osuna is an adoption from another shelter. Together with other Galgos, she was able to move to PROA, hoping to find a permanent home. If Osuna were a person, she would certainly be a strong competitor to Cindy Crawford. Her fur color, combined with the beautiful beauty spot on the right side of her face, makes her unmistakable. But we don't want to reduce Osuna to just her extraordinary beauty; we also want to highlight her kind and friendly character. Whether human or dog, Osuna gets along with everyone and is straightforward and nice. We can't say where the dog originally came from, but we assume she was once born and given up by a hunter when there was no longer a need for her. If you decide to adopt the rather small, very slender dog, you will be adopting a treasure for every family. Since Osuna has only recently been at the shelter, she still needs to gain some weight, so we will update her profile again once dog trainer Toni has gotten to know her. Born: July 15, 2024, size approximately 61 cm, character: friendly, open, compatible with other dogs, at the shelter since August 2026

About (ph)ZUHAUSE

What life with (ph)ZUHAUSE looks like

(ph)ZUHAUSE is a small young adult dog waiting at TS Fellwechsel e.V. in Varel /nur Vereinssitz, kein Tierheim vor Ort.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting (ph)ZUHAUSE, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about (ph)ZUHAUSE?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. TS Fellwechsel e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw (ph)ZUHAUSE on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt (ph)ZUHAUSE if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — TS Fellwechsel e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is (ph)ZUHAUSE already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if (ph)ZUHAUSE isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with TS Fellwechsel e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know (ph)ZUHAUSE and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
