Ozon

Unknown · Adult · 6 years

Hi my name is Ozon, I am a black tomcat with an estimated birthdate of 8-8-2020. I came in as a stray and unfortunately no one has claimed me. I am now neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, dewormed and de-flead and ready for adoption. I was found in a place where I had been fed for years, they think the food I received was more human food than cat kibble. The reason for suspicion is because I have diabetes. Currently, my glucose is closely monitored and it seems my body can manage it well. I am currently on diabetes kibble and my glucose remains good. It is important that my new staff know how to handle this and take into account that something may need to be started in the future. I am still a shy cat and need some time to adjust. I am looking for staff who know how to measure glucose and how to deal with a diabetic patient. A quiet household without dogs and small children. Older children are okay if they are calm. Due to my diabetes, I am a real indoor cat and must absolutely not go outside anymore. A cat run or a well-enclosed garden would be possible. For interest? Email to tav.

Ozon

About Ozon

What life with Ozon looks like

Ozon is a small adult cat waiting at Hokazo in Uden.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ozon, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ozon?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hokazo handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ozon on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ozon if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hokazo will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ozon already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ozon isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hokazo early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ozon and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
