Pacchino

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 3 months

Pacchinos life was far from idyllic. The little male was found in a forest with his mother. Unfortunately, we don't know how they ended up there or how long they were alone. Luckily, they were discovered and brought to safety. Today, Pacchino lives in the Bistrița shelter, waiting for his rescue to turn into a real happy ending. At just three months old, Pacchino is still a tiny pup. He currently weighs around 4 kg and is about 20 cm tall. He is expected to grow into a small to medium-sized dog. Pacchino is friendly, sweet, and playful in the shelter. He is a cheerful little puppy who enjoys being busy and has a natural curiosity. He also gets along well with other dogs. Cats have not been tested with him yet. His fluffy brown fur, darker facial markings, and small white chest make Pacchino a pretty adorable little guy. Of course, Pacchino still needs to learn the complete puppy ABC. Housebreaking, leash training, staying alone, car travel, and the rules of living together are all new to him. Small mishaps and the occasional creative puppy idea are part of the process. Puberty will also eventually arrive, and it may cause him to suddenly forget what he has learned and test boundaries again. Patience, loving consistency, and a good dose of humor are therefore important companions on his journey to adulthood. Moving from the Romanian shelter to a new home will be a big change for Pacchino. New people, sounds, smells, and a completely different environment can initially unsettle him. He should therefore be given enough time to arrive and get to know his new world step by step. A positively working dog school can be a great support. We wish for Pacchino people who are not just looking for a cute little puppy, but who are also willing to accompany him on his journey to adulthood. People who want to show him how beautiful walks, his own bed, shared activities, and above all, the feeling of really belonging somewhere can be. Pacchino travels with a microchip, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-free with his EU pet passport to his new home. Due to his age, he is not yet neutered. After a positive preliminary check, he can be adopted for a deposit. Pacchino made it from the forest to the shelter. Now, the most beautiful stage is still missing: going home. Thank you to Melina! You gave Pacchino his name. Status: 06.09.2026

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Vielen Dank an Melina! Du hast Pacchino seinen Namen geschenkt. Stand: 06.09.2026 Weitere Informationen zum Thema Vorkontrolle und Schutzgebühr

About Pacchino

What life with Pacchino looks like

Pacchino is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pacchino, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pacchino?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pacchino on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pacchino if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pacchino already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pacchino isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pacchino and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
