Her owner, an older man, had never officially given her up. Two weeks ago, she was wandering between cars apparently pregnant. I talked to the man and explained that she urgently needed to be neutered. He then handed her over to us saying, I should keep her and not return her. So Paloma came into our care. Paloma is a this breed female dog, about 34 cm tall and weighs 11.9 kg. She is, of course, microchipped. A recently conducted CaniV 4D test unfortunately came back positive for heartworms – she is already undergoing treatment. Important to know: Heartworms are not directly contagious but are transmitted exclusively through mosquitoes. At the moment, Paloma lives in a foster home with several dogs and shows herself to be very compatible there. She has already been neutered and has integrated well into the existing pack. Leash walking also works well already. Paloma is a loving, people-oriented female dog – open, friendly and very devoted.❗ Important: Paloma unfortunately does not like cats and small animals such as rabbits. It is not possible to accustom her to them due to her strong prey drive. She also enjoys looking out for mice and rats on the property. Therefore, a home without cats and small animals is required. Paloma now seeks a responsible home, preferably with people who have dog experience, where she can finally experience safety and security. We are happy to answer your questions about Paloma. - wartet im Tierheim in Ungarn - 🐾 Paloma – sanfte Dackelmix-Hündin sucht erfahrenes Zuhause 🐾Paloma begleitet uns schon seit einigen Jahren – bisher lebte sie draußen auf der Straße in Doboz. Ihr Besitzer, ein älterer Herr, hatte sie nie offiziell abgegeben. Vor zwei Wochen lief sie zwischen Autos umher, offenbar hochträchtig. Ich sprach den Mann an und erklärte ihm, dass sie dringend kastriert werden sollte. Daraufhin überließ er sie uns mit den Worten, ich solle sie behalten und nicht zurückbringen.So kam Paloma in unsere Obhut.Paloma ist eine Dackelmix-Hündin, etwa 34 cm groß und wiegt 11,9 kg. Sie ist selbstverständlich gechipt. Ein durchgeführter CaniV 4D-Test fiel leider positiv auf Herzwürmer aus – sie befindet sich bereits in Behandlung. Wichtig zu wissen: Herzwürmer sind nicht direkt ansteckend, sondern werden ausschließlich über Mücken übertragen.Aktuell lebt Paloma auf einer Pflegestelle mit mehreren Hunden zusammen und zeigt sich dort durchweg verträglich. Sie ist bereits kastriert und hat sich gut in das bestehende Rudel integriert. Auch das Laufen an der Leine klappt bereits gut.Paloma ist eine liebe, menschenbezogene Hündin – offen, freundlich und sehr zugewandt.❗ Wichtig: Katzen und Kleintiere wie Kaninchen mag Paloma leider gar nicht. Eine Gewöhnung ist nicht möglich, da ihr Jagdtrieb stark ausgeprägt ist. Sie hält außerdem gerne auf dem Grundstück Ausschau nach Mäusen und Ratten. Ein Zuhause ohne Katzen und Kleintiere ist daher Voraussetzung.Paloma sucht nun ein verantwortungsbewusstes Zuhause, gerne bei Menschen mit Hundeerfahrung, in dem sie endlich Sicherheit und Geborgenheit erleben darf.Gerne beantworten wir Ihre Fragen zu Paloma. 🐶
