Panda

Female Β· Young Β· 3 years

Panda is an enthusiastic lady who values human companionship. Panda finds changes a bit exciting, but once she gets used to them, a big cuddly side emerges. Because Panda likes to be with her people, she finds it difficult to be alone. Therefore, being alone at home will need to be built up slowly. During walks, Panda is busy with her surroundings; she prefers to thoroughly investigate every scent. At the same time, she is in a hurry, which is why she pulls on the leash. Fortunately, she listens well to her name! Panda enjoys working for her people and is very eager to learn; she enjoys learning new things and working together. She is happy to expand her trick repertoire further with her new owner. Panda loves to fetch a ball! She is extremely enthusiastic and quick at this game. In her opinion, this game can go on endlessly! Other pets find Panda too interesting; this activates her hunting instinct. Additionally, she doesn't like it when strange dogs come too close. It is important that her owner knows what she needs at that moment and guides her in a suitable way. Panda benefits from an owner who values her enthusiasm and enjoys working with her. Her character comes out best in a quiet, predictable household (without pets) where she gets the time and space to get used to it. She can possibly be placed with children from 12 years old.

Ga terug

About Panda

What life with Panda looks like

Panda is a young adult dog waiting at Dierentehuis Arnhem in Netherlands.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" β€” quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures β€” to let them settle.

πŸ‡³πŸ‡±Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Panda, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Panda?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dierentehuis Arnhem handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Panda on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Panda if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Dierentehuis Arnhem will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Panda already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Panda isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dierentehuis Arnhem early rather than rehoming privately; they know Panda and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
