Pandora

Mixed Breed Β· Female Β· Senior Β· 14 years

Pandora! 14 year old Pandora is looking for a calm and loving home. Pandora has had a difficult journey. She originally came into our care after her owner sadly had to leave her behind, and was recently returned to us as she wasn’t getting along with the other cats in the home. At the rescue, she’s feeling overwhelmed and unsure. She can retreat or react defensively, so she’ll need a patient, understanding home to make her feel safe again. Pandora would thrive in a quiet home where she can be the only pet, with someone patient and kind who will let her settle in at her own pace. To find out more about Pandora's , or if you would like to offer Pandora a forever home ple

About Pandora

What life with Pandora looks like

Pandora is a small senior mixed breed cat waiting at Clay County Cat Care in United Kingdom.

Senior cats are the gentlest house guests: predictable, mostly silent, and grateful for a sunny windowsill. Older cats often have minor dental or kidney issues β€” keep an eye on water intake and weight. Many sleep eighteen hours a day and want no part of any drama.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pandora, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pandora?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Clay County Cat Care handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pandora on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pandora if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Clay County Cat Care will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Pandora already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pandora isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Clay County Cat Care early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pandora and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
