Pascha

Mixed Breed Cat · Male

Hello there, I am Pascha – a handsome British Shorthair mix with charm, character, and a healthy portion of independence. Found in Salzburg, where I was wandering around on my own – yet another one who doesn’t belong to anyone… My path led me to the cat shelter of the Hallein Animal Shelter, where I am now well cared for, and I have been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, essentially ready for my next chapter – and that should be in a loving home where they appreciate a feline like me. I am not just any tomcat for everyone; I am one with personality, though I am very affectionate, but one should bring some cat experience. One thing is still very important to me – small children are simply too much of a hassle for me; in certain situations, my paw might even come in handy! After a proper settling-in period, I would also like to enjoy some outdoor time again, as there are exciting scents, sunny spots, and a lot of little adventures waiting for me – an explorer like me needs my territory, after all… Would you like to meet me? Then I look forward to seeing you from 15-17 PM on Fridays at the cat shelter!. This cat needs outdoor access.

About Pascha

What life with Pascha looks like

Pascha is a adult mixed breed cat cat waiting at Tierheim Hallein in Hallein.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇦🇹Adopting from Austria

Austrian shelters follow the federal Tierschutzgesetz framework: adopters sign a Schutzvertrag (protection contract) committing to the animal's welfare. Spay/neuter, microchip, and vaccinations are included; fees typically range €150–€350.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pascha, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pascha?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Hallein handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pascha on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pascha if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Hallein will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pascha already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pascha isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Hallein early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pascha and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
