Pascual

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

Pascual entered the shelter at just three months old. He had barely had any contact with people. He would hide behind any corner and going for a walk... It was a whole drama! He has slowly progressed. He can now complete some walks, although always with the help of his "Max". Sometimes it was Canela, other times Corbato. He doesn't really care about the companion; what's important is not feeling alone. Only then does he dare to lift his paws off the ground and start walking. Pascual feels very comfortable surrounded by other dogs, he gets along perfectly with cats and gains a lot of confidence when he has a companion nearby. That's why we think he will be happier in a home where there is already another dog, although it is not a requirement to adopt him. The really important thing is to find a patient family, that respects his times, doesn't demand more than he can give and enjoys seeing how, little by little, he discovers that he can also live with people while being safe. He is a young, noble, calm dog with his whole life ahead of him. We don't understand why the opportunity to grow up in a home is being missed. Do you dare to meet him?

ES·Show original

¿Te animas a conocerlo?

About Pascual

What life with Pascual looks like

Pascual is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Protectora de Ibi in Ibi (Alicante).

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pascual, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pascual?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Protectora de Ibi handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pascual on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pascual if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Protectora de Ibi will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pascual already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pascual isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Protectora de Ibi early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pascual and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
