My name is PATROCLE and I just want to be loved❣ I don't know how long I've been at this gas station. I was hungry, thirsty, and just really tired. Maybe I thought that if I looked friendly and approached carefully, someone would see me. Instead, some people poured water on me to make me go away. I didn't understand why – I just wanted a little bit of closeness and a safe place. Thankfully, Cristina saw me. She didn't chase me away. She stopped, spoke to me, and took me with her. For the first time in a long time, I didn't have to be afraid anymore. Since then, I show everyone how much I love people. I'm a friendly, lovable Dachshund mix who doesn't like arguments. I get along really well with other dogs and even think cats are fine. I just want a home where I belong – with people who won't chase me away but will love me. Maybe I can arrive just right with you? I promise I'll give you my whole doggy heart.

Vielleicht dachte ich, wenn ich freundlich schaue und vorsichtig näherkomme, würde mich jemand sehen. Stattdessen haben manche Menschen Wasser über mich geschüttet, damit ich verschwinde. Ich habe nicht verstanden, warum – ich wollte doch nur ein kleines bisschen Nähe und einen sicheren Platz. Zum Glück hat mich Cristina gesehen. Sie hat mich nicht weggejagt. Sie hat angehalten, mich angesprochen und mich mitgenommen. Zum ersten Mal seit langer Zeit musste ich keine Angst mehr haben. Seitdem zeige ich jeden Tag, wie sehr ich Menschen liebe. Ich bin ein freundlicher, lieber Dackel-Mix, der Streit gar nicht mag. Mit anderen Hunden verstehe ich mich richtig gut und selbst Katzen finde ich völlig in Ordnung.
