Adopt Honden ter adoptie

Romanian Street Dog · Male · Puppy · 9 months

This sweet little male is called Paul. He is a puppy with an estimated birth date of August 2025 and will grow up to be a nice medium-sized dog. Paul came to the animal shelter of Sos Dogs Roemenië together with his sister Polly. They were seized by the animal police. We don't know exactly what happened, but it was unfortunately not a nice situation. Fortunately, they are now safe in the Netherlands and Paul is looking for his own warm home (Polly has already found that luck!). Paul is a nice, sweet and playful boy. 🐶 He gets along well with other dogs and likes to play with them. 🧸 Toys? He loves them! He likes to collect them all in his basket. Paul is already well adjusted at home and is housebroken. Being left alone at home for a while is also okay, although he is currently still with other dogs. In new situations, Paul will need some time to adjust, but he adapts quickly. He has a kind and gentle character and enjoys cuddles and attention. Walking is also very enjoyable for him and he enjoys a nice walk. Are you the one who can give Paul the safe, loving home he deserves?

About Honden ter adoptie

What life with Honden ter adoptie looks like

Honden ter adoptie is a medium-sized puppy/kitten romanian street dog dog waiting at SOS Dogs Nederland in NN Didam.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

Note from the shelter: Needs time and patience to build trust in new situations and with new people

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Honden ter adoptie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Honden ter adoptie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SOS Dogs Nederland handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Honden ter adoptie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Honden ter adoptie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SOS Dogs Nederland will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Honden ter adoptie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Honden ter adoptie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SOS Dogs Nederland early rather than rehoming privately; they know Honden ter adoptie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
