Pearl

Mixed Breed Cat · Female

Hello everybody, My name is Pearl, I am looking for my furever home. I am have been with Rain since June and it has taken me some time to settle in. I really hated it in the cattery, it was all just to scary for me, I have been placed in a lovely foster home where I have really started to come out of my shell. My foster parents have been telling everyone how lovely I am, I am very affectionate and I love to give you lots of headbutts. I am not a fan of being picked up and I am still settling in slowly but surely being around people more is really bringing out my confidence. At the moment I am not much of a lap cat but who knows I may be once I have fully settled in my new home. I keep being introduced to this weird feather toy, everyday and everyday it interests me more and more… I feel like I may be super playful soon. To become my best friend the answer is lick-e-lix… I LOVE them! My ideal home would be with no other animals, children aged 10+ and I may be happier being an indoor cat but may like to potter in the garden. My adoption fee is £125

About Pearl

What life with Pearl looks like

Pearl is a adult mixed breed cat cat waiting at Rain Rescue in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pearl, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pearl?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Rain Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pearl on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pearl if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Rain Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pearl already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pearl isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Rain Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pearl and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (the shelter's own language). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
