Pebbles

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel · Female · Adult · 5 years

30-09-26 Pebbles is the sweetest little girl who has come into our care from a breeder. She is shy when first approached, but will come towards us and can be picked up and carried. She wags her tail while being held and seems to enjoy the gentle fuss and attention she receives. She really is a happy little character and a delight to have around. Pebbles gets on wonderfully with her kennel friends and relies on their company for comfort, so she will need a kind resident dog in her new home to help guide her and give her the reassurance she needs as she settles in and finds her paws. She can live with older, dog-savvy children who allow her time to settle in at her own pace. As Pebbles has never lived in a home before, she will need to learn all about house training, lead training and the other basics of home life. Her new family will need to give her plenty of patience and encouragement while she learns about all the new sights and sounds of home life. Pebbles has arrived with an ear infection and is currently receiving treatment and monitoring to make sure she is comfortable. Her new family will need to continue any care recommended by our vets. Pebbles is such a lovely little girl with a happy nature, and we hope that with the support of a kind canine companion and a loving family, she will continue to grow in confidence and enjoy the happy new start she deserves. She has a travel document. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.

About Pebbles

What life with Pebbles looks like

Pebbles is a adult cavalier king charles spaniel dog waiting at Many Tears Animal Rescue in Llanelli.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pebbles, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pebbles?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Many Tears Animal Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pebbles on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pebbles if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Many Tears Animal Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pebbles already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pebbles isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Many Tears Animal Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pebbles and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
