Pebbles

European Shorthair · Unknown · Kitten

Breed: European Shorthair Born: around May 10, 2026 Medical: vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, declawed, and comes with a referral letter for spaying/neutering Personality: Affectionate, active, playful, curious House-trained: yes Origin: stray Veterinary number: 3802 Meet Pebbels! This adventurous girl was found alone several weeks ago and has been living in a foster home ever since. Her foster mom quickly realized that Pebbels is a delightful, sweet cuddlebug. Pebbels loves attention, happily jumps onto laps, and snuggles up close to you in bed at night. Pebbels is super curious, has a strong personality, and isn't easily intimidated. While most kittens in a new situation first cautiously observe from a safe distance, Pebbels immediately ran through the entire house as if she’d been living there for weeks! At her foster home, she now lives together with six other kittens. Her behavior toward them varies. To avoid any mismatches, we therefore do not place her with other cats or pets. We’re looking for a home with plenty of time for play and attention, sufficient space for running around, and a nice scratching post. A cat-safe balcony or a fenced-in garden where she can enjoy fresh air would complete her happiness! This kitten is currently staying in a foster home. Would you like to meet Pebbels? Then please fill out the interest form: Interest Form for Kittens – Animal Shelter Hart van Brabant After that, we’ll get in touch. Would you like to adopt a kitten? You don’t just pick a cat on a whim, which is why we take our time to ensure a good and careful match. For our shelter cats, we follow a thorough selection procedure. During an initial meeting, you’ll get to meet both the kitten and the foster family. Together, we’ll assess whether there’s a good match between you, your home environment, and the kitten. If the initial meeting goes well, we’ll arrange the further administrative steps at the Animal Shelter (by appointment). You’ll then make an appointment with the foster family to pick up the kitten. This way, we ensure that every cat ends up in the right home for a loving and lasting future! Available from: August 1, 2026

Plaatsbaar vanaf: 1 augustus 2026

About Pebbles

What life with Pebbles looks like

Pebbles is a puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at Dierenopvang Hart van Brabant in Netherlands.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pebbles, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pebbles?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dierenopvang Hart van Brabant handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pebbles on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pebbles if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dierenopvang Hart van Brabant will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pebbles already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pebbles isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dierenopvang Hart van Brabant early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pebbles and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
