Peony and Petal

Mixed Breed Cat · Female · Puppy

🌸🌸 Double the kittens, double the fun… and double the love! 🌸🌸 Meet Peony and Petal, two adorable sisters who are ready to find a forever home where they can continue their adventures together. These playful girls have had an unusual start to life. Alongside their own mum, they’ve been incredibly lucky to have Poppy, their devoted surrogate mum, who took them under her wing and has loved them as if they were her own. Thanks to all that care, Peony and Petal have blossomed into happy, healthy and confident kittens. Petal is the braver of the two, always the first to investigate something new and dive headfirst into an adventure, while Peony is curious but a little more cautious, preferring to take a moment to assess the situation before joining in the fun. Together, they make the perfect pair and are rarely far from each other, whether they’re chasing toys, climbing cat trees or snuggling up for a well-earned nap. As sisters, they share a wonderful bond, and we’d love to see them begin their next chapter side by side. Like all kittens, they’re full of curiosity, mischief and endless entertainment. They’ll bring laughter, love and plenty of kitten antics to the lucky family who welcomes them home. Could you open your heart and your home to these beautiful girls and let them grow up together? 💕🐾 After such a loving start in rescue, we’d love nothing more than for Peony and Petal to find a family who’ll cherish them for the rest of their lives. About Peony and Petal

What life with Peony and Petal looks like

Peony and Petal is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed cat dog waiting at RSPCA Brighton & The Heart of Sussex in United Kingdom.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Peony and Petal, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Peony and Petal?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. RSPCA Brighton & The Heart of Sussex handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Peony and Petal on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Peony and Petal if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — RSPCA Brighton & The Heart of Sussex will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Peony and Petal already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Peony and Petal isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with RSPCA Brighton & The Heart of Sussex early rather than rehoming privately; they know Peony and Petal and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
