The sugary sweet Petticoat came to us at our shelter because her previous owners could no longer give her the attention and time she deserved. After a short settling-in period, Petticoat has adapted well to her temporary home. She mostly spends her time comfortably in one of her caves, observing the goings-on from a safe distance. However, if one enters the room and speaks a few kind words to her, it usually doesn't take long before she comes out curiously and claims her well-deserved cuddles. And if it were up to Petticoat, the petting session would last all day. Once she has gained trust, she shows herself to be an especially cuddly and clingy female cat. Originally, Petticoat came to the animal shelter together with Chaps and Knickerbocker. As she is a uncomplicated and social cat, we either rehome her together with Chaps or with a calm cat that would be happy to have a friendly roommate. Since Petticoat is sometimes still a bit unsure and gets scared by loud noises, we are looking for a home without dogs for her. However, she should get along well with older, cat-experienced children. Petticoat has not yet experienced the outdoors. As she is still young, though, and we want to give her the opportunity to see the world, we are looking for a home with a rural outdoor area. There, she can explore at her own pace, find her favorite spots, and discover the big wide cat world.

Die zuckersüsse Petticoat kam zu uns ins Tierheim, weil ihre ehemaligen Halter ihr leider nicht mehr die Aufmerksamkeit und Zeit schenken konnten, die sie verdient. Nach einer kurzen Eingewöhnungszeit hat sich Petticoat gut in ihrem vorübergehenden Zuhause eingelebt. Die meiste Zeit verbringt sie gemütlich in einer ihrer Höhlen und beobachtet das Geschehen lieber aus sicherer Entfernung. Betritt man jedoch das Zimmer und spricht ihr ein paar freundliche Worte zu, dauert es meist nicht lange, bis sie neugierig hervorkommt und sich ihre wohlverdienten Streicheleinheiten abholt. Und wenn es nach Petticoat ginge, dürfte das Streichelprogramm gerne den ganzen Tag dauern. Hat sie erst einmal Vertrauen gefasst, zeigt sie sich als ausgesprochen verschmuste und anhängliche Katzendame. Ursprünglich kam Petticoat gemeinsam mit Chaps und Knickerbocker ins Tierheim. Da sie eine unkomplizierte und soziale Katze ist, vermitteln wir sie entweder zusammen mit Chaps oder zu einer ruhigen Katze, die sich über eine freundliche Mitbewohnerin freuen würde. Da Petticoat manchmal noch etwas unsicher ist und bei lauten Geräuschen erschrickt, suchen wir für sie ein Zuhause ohne Hunde. Mit älteren, katzenerfahrenen Kindern dürfte sie hingegen gut zurechtkommen. Das Freigängerleben kennt Petticoat bisher noch nicht. Da sie aber noch jung ist und wir ihr die Möglichkeit geben möchten, die Welt zu zusehen, suchen wir für sie ein Zuhause mit ländlichem Freigang. Dort kann sie in ihrem eigenen Tempo auf Entdeckungstour gehen, neue Lieblingsplätze finden und die grosse weite Katzenwelt erkunden.
