adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! Pheline has found a home! Pheline is waiting in her foster home for you! Her story: Bistrita, Romania. Who still has a cozy dog bed free for Pheline? This lovely female dog with her pretty fur and sassy look is on the hunt for her Forever Family. Pheline is currently around 2 years old and small to medium-sized. Her white tail tip and cute button ears make her unmistakable and allow her to win every heart at first sight. But she can shine not only with her looks, her little mouse can also sparkle with her character made of gold. She is open-minded, playful, and loves to be spoiled. Whether dog, child, or adult – everyone will always be greeted with wagging tails. Pheline is the ideal companion for any lifestyle. With her, one will surely quickly find activities that bring joy to both human and animal. For example, walks, tug-of-war games, sniffing games, cycling, or simply cozy cuddling. However, her new family should be aware that Pheline has not yet experienced life in a loving family. She still needs to learn the whole dog ABC and adapt to the new surroundings. Here, she needs people who approach with lots of love and patience, and may need to attend some positively working dog training classes and forgive her one or two mishaps. Leash walking, house training, and being alone are still foreign words to her. But once this phase is overcome, one gets with Pheline a faithful companion for life. We hope so much that she finds a family that will shower her with all the love she deserves. Pheline is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. She brings an EU pet passport with her and can be adopted after a positive our area. Who will give Pheline a loving Forever Home? Many thanks to Ann-Kathrin F.! You named Pheline. Date: 13.01.

Vielen Dank Ann-Kathrin F.! Du hast Pheline Ihren Namen geschenkt. Stand: 13.01.2024

About Pheline

What life with Pheline looks like

Pheline is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pheline, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pheline?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pheline on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pheline if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pheline already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pheline isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pheline and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
