Phoebe – 4 year old Female

English Bulldog Β· Female

Hi everyone, Phoebe here! πŸ‘‹ Some of you might recognise my squishy little face because I’ve popped up on the Facebook page before. I thought it was about time I introduced myself properly. I’m Phoebe, a 4-year-old English Bulldog with a big personality packed into a very cute, wrinkly body. My favourite things in life are fuss, attention, more fuss… and just in case you missed it β€” even more attention! I am what the humans call a total fuss pot. If there’s a lap, a hand for stroking, or someone willing to tell me how beautiful I am, I’ll be right there soaking it all up. And honestly… with a face like mine, people usually can’t resist. 😌 Right now I’m not quite ready to head off to my forever home yet. I’m waiting for something called BOAS surgery which will help me breathe a lot better. Once that’s all sorted and I’m feeling my best, I’ll be one step closer to finding my family. The humans here are still getting to know me, so they’ll be doing a bit more dog testing to see how I feel about other doggy friends. I might be able to live with another dog, but if I’m honest… I do love being the centre of attention. Because I’m such a needy little princess, the team think I might be happiest as the only dog in the home so I can have all the love for myself. As for cats… well, I’ve never actually met one before! So the humans will need to do some cat testing to see what I think about those mysterious creatures. I have lived in a family home before, which means I already know a bit about home life. Because I can get a little giddy when I’m excited (which is quite often!), a home with children over the age of 6 would be best for me. So for now, I’m focusing on getting my breathing sorted, enjoying lots of cuddles, and perfecting my β€œgive me attention” face. Keep an eye on the page for updates about me… because once I’m ready, I’ll be looking for a family who wants a loving, cuddly, slightly dramatic bulldog shadow by their side. My adoption fee is Β£350. Love and slobbery kisses,Phoebe 🐾

About Phoebe – 4 year old Female

What life with Phoebe – 4 year old Female looks like

Phoebe – 4 year old Female is a large adult english bulldog dog waiting at Rain Rescue in United Kingdom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible β€” a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" β€” quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures β€” to let them settle.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Phoebe – 4 year old Female, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Phoebe – 4 year old Female?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Rain Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Phoebe – 4 year old Female on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Phoebe – 4 year old Female if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Rain Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Phoebe – 4 year old Female already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Phoebe – 4 year old Female isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Rain Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Phoebe – 4 year old Female and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (the shelter's own language). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
