Pickle-Pie

Mixed Breed · Male · Senior · 11 years

Pickle-Pie is a calm soul looking for an indoor only home to curl up in where he can purr the day away, bonus if it includes lots of cuddles and head scratches. He has taken a particular liking to an igloo bed in his room, curling up inside to watch the world go by. But he certainly lets you know he’s in there with a loud purr as he sees you pass by, it would be rude to not stop for a head scratch, and he knows it. His love of attention and stroking is a big plus for his coat as well, being a long-haired cat he will benefit from regular brushing to keep his coat neat and in good condition. If you think you could give Pickle-Pie the calm home where he can purr to his hearts content, please fill in the application form below. Thank you for being interested in giving one of our cats a loving home. Kittens up to 2 years - £130.00Cats 2-10 years - £90.00Cats 10 years+ - £60.00

About Pickle-Pie

What life with Pickle-Pie looks like

Pickle-Pie is a large senior mixed breed cat waiting at PACT Animal Sanctuary in United Kingdom.

Senior cats are the gentlest house guests: predictable, mostly silent, and grateful for a sunny windowsill. Older cats often have minor dental or kidney issues — keep an eye on water intake and weight. Many sleep eighteen hours a day and want no part of any drama.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pickle-Pie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pickle-Pie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. PACT Animal Sanctuary handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pickle-Pie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pickle-Pie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — PACT Animal Sanctuary will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pickle-Pie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pickle-Pie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with PACT Animal Sanctuary early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pickle-Pie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
