Hallo daar, toekomstige huisgenoot. Mijn naam is Pieter. Jawel, een naam met klasse — past ook wel bij mij, al zeg ik het zelf. Ik ben een knappe zwart-witte heer van 8 jaar, en ik heb mijn leven ondertussen goed op orde. Geen wilde fratsen meer (oké, af en toe misschien een sprintje om 5 uur ’s morgens, maar dat houdt je scherp). Ik ben vooral een rustige ziel. Zo eentje die graag bij je in de buurt ligt terwijl jij iets doet — lezen, werken, tv kijken… ik keur het allemaal goed, zolang ik maar een beetje mee kan genieten. En ja, ik geef het eerlijk toe: af en toe kom ik zelf om aandacht vragen. Een subtiel kopje hier, een elegante staartzwaai daar… je zal wel begrijpen wat ik bedoel. Andere katten? Tja, ik tolereer ze. Maar als je mij vraagt: ik zou het leven als alleenheerser ook wel zien zitten. Minder gedoe, meer aandacht voor mij — klinkt logisch, toch? Als er toch een andere kat is, dan liefst eentje die mijn niveau van rust en waardigheid begrijpt. Geen drukke spring-in-’t-veld types, alsjeblieft. Ik ben namelijk een kat die zijn rust wel waardeert. Geef mij maar een gezellig plekje, een zacht kussen en iemand die mijn tempo respecteert. Dan krijg je in ruil een ontzettend lieve, trouwe vriend. Oh, en nog iets: ik droom van buiten. Niet zomaar buiten — nee, een veilige tuin of een kattenren waar ik de wereld kan observeren als de koning die ik ben. De frisse lucht, de vogeltjes (kijken, niet doen… meestal), het zonnetje op mijn vacht… heerlijk. Vrij rondlopen zit er voor mij niet in, ik ben namelijk fiv+, daar heb ik geen last van maar met een catproof plekje ben ik dolgelukkig. Kindjes vanaf 6 jaar? Geen probleemHonden? Nee bedankt.
