Adopt Pikachu

Unknown · Adult · 10 years

Hi, I'm Pikachu, I have a suspicion they named me that way because I have a kink in my tail. I haven't had any trouble with that here. My estimated birthdate is 29-11-2015 and I'm a tomcat. I came in as a stray and unfortunately, no one has claimed me yet. I'm still quite scared or angry towards people, which is why they also call me a scaredy-cat. I'm not afraid to scratch, but I only do this if you get too close to me. I need to find a lot more trust in people. And that's why I'm looking for a palace where my staff will serve me like a real prince. Where I can receive love, peace, and patience to thaw out and regain trust in people. I'm looking for a quiet palace with staff just for me. Without other cats, dogs, or small children. Older children are fine as long as they're calm. Preferably somewhere I can look out at something beautiful or a well-enclosed garden where I can feel the wind in my hair. I'm neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, wormed, and flea-free and ready for relocation. Do you have a lot of patience and love and want to give me a home? Then please fill out the form below.

Zonder andere katten, honden of kleine kinderen.

About Pikachu

What life with Pikachu looks like

Pikachu is a small adult cat waiting at Hokazo in Uden.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pikachu, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pikachu?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hokazo handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pikachu on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pikachu if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hokazo will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pikachu already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pikachu isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hokazo early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pikachu and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
