Adopt Pilette

European Shorthair · Female · Young · 2 years

Identified by microchip Type: European Color: Brown mackerel tabby - Coat: short spayed Tested FIV (AIDS) - FELV (Leukemia) negative Vaccinated for Typhus and cat flu Health: All good at the shelter Hello everyone, I'm Pilette, the little cat on springs from the cattery! My story is simple: I arrived at the shelter with my kittens, and I took care of them until they were finally big enough to find their own families. That's done, but me, no one looks at me and I'm still looking for a home. I'm a little cat with an athlete's body. I'm a sporty soul and I'm specialized in many sports: dancing, high jump, running... I can't stay still and the volunteers wonder if I'm not crossed with a kangaroo. I even heard someone say I should do an ad for batteries. Pfff, what do they think? That a physique like mine is obtained without doing anything? Well, on the other hand, I would really like to have a friend to play with and access to the outside to run around. With me, you will never be bored! Read more... I'm mischievous and I love to bother others, including bipeds. I'm still shy but my passion is to catch the ends of aprons and blouses as you walk and if you are kneeling, I try to catch long hair. I am a real player. I spend hours running after the balls you throw at me and especially, I love feather dusters. I dream of a family that will take the time to play with me, to make me run and jump after that damn feather duster that I always end up catching. I'm playful, I'm greedy and I come to meet you easily. Unfortunately, I'm afraid of hands full of fingers that want to touch me. I think it will pass, especially since these are the hands that hold the feather dusters, throw the balls and give the bowls, but I will need time. Don't be angry if I don't come to your knees. My way of saying I love you is to play with you and to bother you a bit. You dream of a very young little cat with whom you can play endlessly? You dream of a little cat with a wonderful physique? Come and meet me, I'm waiting for you eagerly. I dare to ask you, but come with a feather duster so we can get to know each other by playing. Find Pilette on the shelter's Facebook page.

About Pilette

What life with Pilette looks like

Pilette is a young adult european shorthair cat waiting at Le Regroupement Des Chats Perdus in France.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pilette, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pilette?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Le Regroupement Des Chats Perdus handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pilette on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pilette if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Le Regroupement Des Chats Perdus will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pilette already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pilette isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Le Regroupement Des Chats Perdus early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pilette and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
