adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this male dog! Pinocchio is a friendly, people-loving male dog who also gets along well with his fellow animals. Pinocchio is now approximately 3 years old and about 40 cm tall. He is described as curious, eager to learn, and playful. He loves long walks and extensive playtime in the water. Pinocchio is looking for experienced people who have a desire for a dog that is very eager to learn. He could be a Corgi mix and would like to be given tasks and kept busy. Pinocchio is very sensitive to his environment. Dog-experienced people are requested here, where Pinocchio feels that he does not have to take the lead. He feels quickly overwhelmed by men and small children. We are sure that a lot can be achieved with positive dog training classes. Unfortunately, this was missed during his puberty. Pinocchio wishes for a stable home where his abilities are appreciated and where he can go through thick and thin with a young dog. Even though he is small, he wants to be treated like a full-fledged dog. His favorite would be to have a task or do dog sports like Mantrailing, Tracking, or Agility. Head and nose work is his biggest hobby and always needs to be encouraged. Of course, cuddle and snuggle time should not be too short either. Pinocchio can be met at his pension. Pinocchio is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, flea-treated, and has an EU pet passport. After a positive assessment, who would like to meet the handsome male dog? Many thanks to Manu for naming Pinocchio! Date: 23.07.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Vielen Dank an Manu. Du hast Pinocchio seinen Namen geschenkt! Stand: 23.07.2025

About Pinocchio

What life with Pinocchio looks like

Pinocchio is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pinocchio, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pinocchio?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pinocchio on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pinocchio if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pinocchio already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pinocchio isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pinocchio and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
