Piper (Mixed breed, approx. 21 kg) was brought to our shelter because her previous owners could no longer devote enough time to her due to a job change. Piper has been with us for over three years and has made significant progress. Initially, she was skeptical of strangers, but thanks to patient training and positive experiences, she now trusts people more quickly. Once Piper has accepted someone, she is incredibly loving and affectionate, thoroughly enjoying time with her humans. Unfortunately, she has developed leash aggression due to past negative experiences. This means she may bark in response to various stimuli on walks, such as dogs, people, bicycles, etc. We regularly work with her on this behavior and see steady progress. However, good management is still needed in everyday life. We will naturally guide her future owners step by step and show them how to safely and confidently support Piper in such situations. For Piper, we are looking for experienced dog owners who are not deterred by her leash aggression and are willing to continue working with her on this issue. For safety reasons, Piper wears a muzzle on walks. Her future owners should therefore be familiar with wearing a muzzle or be willing to integrate it into their daily routine. Her dream home is a quiet household without other dogs or children, ideally in a rural setting with few stimuli. With patience, time, and a reliable caregiver, Piper will reward her new family with her loving nature, great loyalty, and deep connection. Those who give her a chance will gain a wonderful companion for life. Placement conditions: Attending a dog school is a requirement. Piper will not be placed with children or cats. Text Eigenschaften: Unsere Piper (ca. 21 kg) kam zu uns ins Tierheim, weil ihre früheren Besitzer aufgrund eines Jobwechsels leider nicht mehr genügend Zeit für sie hatten. Piper lebt nun schon seit über drei Jahren bei uns im Tierheim und hat in dieser Zeit grosse Fortschritte gemacht. Anfangs begegnete sie fremden Menschen mit viel Skepsis. Dank geduldigem Training und positiver Erfahrung fasst sie heute jedoch deutlich schneller Vertrauen. Hat Piper jemanden einmal in ihr Herz geschlossen, zeigt sie sich als unglaublich liebevolle und verschmuste Hündin, die die gemeinsame Zeit mit ihren Menschen in vollen Zügen geniesst. Aufgrund negativer Erfahrungen in der Vergangenheit hat Piper leider eine Leinenaggression entwickelt. Das bedeutet, dass sie auf Spaziergängen auf verschiedene Reize mit Bellen reagieren kann, zum Beispiel Hunde, Menschen, Velos, usw. Wir arbeiten regelmässig mit ihr an diesem Verhalten und sehen stetige Fortschritte. Trotzdem braucht es im Alltag weiterhin ein gutes Management. Selbstverständlich begleiten wir ihre zukünftigen Halter*innen Schritt für Schritt dabei und zeigen ihnen, wie sie Piper in solchen Situationen sicher und souverän unterstützen können. Für Piper wünschen wir uns hundeerfahrene Menschen, die sich von ihrer Leinenaggression nicht abschrecken lassen und bereit sind, gemeinsam mit ihr weiterhin an diesem Thema zu arbeiten. Bei Spaziergängen trägt Piper zur Sicherheit aller Beteiligten einen Maulkorb. Ihre zukünftigen Halter sollten daher mit dem Tragen eines Maulkorbs vertraut sein oder bereit sein, dies selbstverständlich in den gemeinsamen Alltag zu integrieren. Ihr Traumzuhause ist ein ruhiger Haushalt ohne andere Hunde oder Kinder, idealerweise in einer ländlichen Umgebung, in der sie nur wenigen Reizen ausgesetzt ist. Mit Geduld, Zeit und einer verlässlichen Bezugsperson wird Piper ihre neue Familie mit ihrer liebevollen Art, ihrer grossen Treue und ihrer innigen Verbundenheit belohnen.
