adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Pippuri has found a home! Her story: Sweet Puppy Pippuri longs for her own home! Pippuri was one of our emergency cases, found on the street with her siblings (Libby, Lyra, and Blacky) in a cardboard box. Full of worms, parasites, and in a pitiful state. Now they are in the best health, around 4 months old, and ready for travel arrangements! Pippuri has a wonderful coat with a colorful pattern and is also fluffier than her siblings. She is also a bit more delicate and has a rather graceful figure. Just like a little mouse – hence the name fits so well. Overall, the siblings are really great. They bring a lot of fun into life and with a puppy like Pippuri, it will surely not get boring. She gets along well with other dogs. We appreciate that she will reach a medium size. Pippuri is a mixed breed and we don't know what traits she will develop when she grows up. Pippuri is looking for people who don't have high expectations of her and show her how a normal dog life works. She is still a baby and has a lot to learn. Sometimes a little mishap shouldn't be held against her and Pippuri should always be guided with a positive training style. She is looking forward to her new life with beautiful nature walks, lots of snuggling hours, and also a visit to puppy school. Puppies should be with their families as little as possible in their first year of life. Additionally, the more demanding pubertal phase is approaching. The hormone chaos turns the little rascals' lives upside down. They "forget" a lot of what they have learned and their ears are on full blast. Therefore, it is especially important in this phase to train consistently but lovingly. And there is also good news: This phase will pass! Our Pippuri is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. She brings an EU pet passport with her and can be adopted after a positive match. Are you falling in love with the white fluff ball? Many thanks, Katl! You have given Pippuri her name! Date: 16.03.

Vielen Dank Katl! Du hast Pippuri ihren Namen geschenkt! Stand: 16.03.2025

About Pippuri

What life with Pippuri looks like

Pippuri is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pippuri, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pippuri?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pippuri on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pippuri if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pippuri already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pippuri isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pippuri and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
