At our shelter, she’s very stressed, which is why she reacts highly stressed even when encountering other dogs. This could improve with reward-based training in her new home. Piri is familiar with a chest harness and walks nicely on the leash without pulling. Since she’s very stressed at the shelter, she’s not yet fully house-trained here. However, she’s making progress nonetheless: — During social walks, encounters with other dogs are quite manageable... although she still sometimes reacts frustratedly and may become vocal if she can’t approach them. — Leash encounters with people are getting better and better, and she’s gradually becoming more relaxed and open. Nevertheless, Piri still needs time to build trust with unfamiliar people. With her trusted caregivers, she shows that she’s very cuddly, affectionate, and thoroughly enjoys close companionship. She probably isn’t ready yet to be left alone and will need to be gradually accustomed to being by herself. We’re looking for a quiet, rural residential area for Piri, ideally with active, empathetic people who have a structured daily routine and are willing to continue her training—without too many visitors.

Bei uns ist sie im Tierheim sehr gestresst, daher reagiert sie auch bei Hundebegegnungen sehr gestresst – dies könnte sich mit belohnungsorientiertem Training im neuen Zuhause legen. Piri kennt das Brustgeschirr und geht brav an der Leine ohne zu ziehen. Da sie im Tierheim sehr gestresst ist, ist sie bei uns auch nicht stubenrein. Mittlerweile macht sie trotzdem Fortschritte: – Begegnungen mit Hunden sind im Social-Walk gut möglich…auch wenn sie noch frustriert reagiert und teilweise laut wird wenn sie nicht hin kann. – Begegnungen an der Leine mit Menschen werden immer besser und sie taut zunehmend schneller auf. Trotzdem braucht Piri bei fremden Menschen weiterhin Zeit, um Vertrauen zu fassen. Bei ihren Bezugspersonen zeigt sie, dass sie sehr verschmust, anhänglich ist und genießt die Nähe sehr. Alleine bleiben kann sie vermutlich noch nicht gut und muss Schritt für Schritt daran gewöhnt werden. Für Piri suchen wir eine ruhige Wohngegend am Land bei aktiven, einfühlsamen Menschen mit einem strukturierten Alltag und weiterführendem Training, ohne viele Besucher.
