Personality:Pistachio is a gentle and loving girl who craves being around people. She likes the comfort of her igloo bed and will make sure she gets herself comfy. She is a noise sensitive girl, so is looking for a quieter home, with people around during the day to spend time with. Behaviour:Pistachio makes her way out from her bed, stretches then is ready to initiate for some fuss. She follows socialisers around at times, rolling over and reaching her paw out to say hello. Once her socialisers are sat down, she is often on their lap for a cuddle. She continues to headbutt hands to ask for more fuss. She is slowly becoming braver with exploring her unit and makes good use of her scratch post. She will occasionally engage with toys however we believe her confidence with playing will continue to grow in a home environment. Housing:Pistachio does prefer the safety of her unit or bed and finds new surroundings a little scary, so for this reason she would benefit from her own unused room or a quiet area of the house to initially settle in before exploring the rest of the property, and eventually a garden. She cannot be homed in Gosport PO12 area. Children/pets:Due to having a negative response to other cats and being fearful around dogs, Pistachio is looking a home without other cats or dogs. Pistachio could live with older secondary school aged children, pending a successful meeting at the shelter. Vet history:Pistachio is neutered, microchipped, flea and wormed. Her second vaccination is due between 30/09/26 – 6/10/26 at the shelter and the cost is included in the adoption fee. Pistachio has a very small umbilical hernia that is intermittent and is causing no issues. Pistachio has no other medical issues. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption. Adoption fee:The adoption fee is £100. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated. Additional information:All rented and leasehold properties will require written consent from the property owner or agent. This needs to be in place before completing an application form. If your application is successful, staff will request a copy.We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the cat.Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.Please note you have to be 18+ to apply for an animal.
