Adopt PLUS A L'ADOPTION-FOLK

Mixed Breed · Female · Senior · 16 years

This adorable bearded dog is named Folk, she was born on 22/04/2010, microchipped 250269604007283, up to date on vaccines + rabies, she is LOF, she is spayed and is black with white markings. At home, Folk is clean, she can be left alone but is not used to it, she barks when leaving, does not make a mess and does not destroy, she has scratched at the door before but it's rare. Outside, Folk knows how to walk on a leash without pulling, the recall is average. The little lady is very social with other dogs, cats .....she runs after them so we don't really know her reaction in the house, she is social with rabbits though. She has no aggression, is very playful and affectionate. She does not attempt to escape (but has not been let out of the garden) Folk is not shy but she doesn't like sudden movements, loud music and shouting. She is well behaved in the car. She loves being brushed, doesn't like baths too much but cooperates.

About PLUS A L'ADOPTION-FOLK

What life with PLUS A L'ADOPTION-FOLK looks like

PLUS A L'ADOPTION-FOLK is a senior mixed breed dog waiting at Solidarité Bearded in France.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting PLUS A L'ADOPTION-FOLK, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about PLUS A L'ADOPTION-FOLK?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Solidarité Bearded handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw PLUS A L'ADOPTION-FOLK on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt PLUS A L'ADOPTION-FOLK if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Solidarité Bearded will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is PLUS A L'ADOPTION-FOLK already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if PLUS A L'ADOPTION-FOLK isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Solidarité Bearded early rather than rehoming privately; they know PLUS A L'ADOPTION-FOLK and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
