When you look into Rosendo’s eyes, you can tell that he probably hasn’t had many happy moments in his life. He has fear, a tendency to panic and runs away when someone tries to approach him. Unfortunately, for this reason, volunteers are not yet able to put him on a leash, but if there is interest, Alberto could work with Rosendo to help him lose some of his fear of people and the leash. As if this were not enough, he also has leishmaniasis, which makes it even more difficult to find a home for Rosendo. For frightened dogs with leishmaniasis, the stress of the shelter is especially detrimental. Stress further increases leishmaniasis and the cycle can hardly be broken, something that is already visible in Rosendo. He has very little fur and poor skin health, of course, he is under treatment. With other dogs, Rosendo is friendly and sociable. They provide security and stability. We are looking for a family with experience with fearful dogs for Rosendo, someone who will give him the time he needs and take him out of his storm cloud. Gradually build confidence and then show him the brightness of life.
