Not every dog greets people joyfully at first. Some have learned to be cautious and carefully observe their surroundings to protect themselves. Our approximately 2-year-old Popsicle is a typical example. Popsicle has a good heart, even though it hasn't had the chance to give it to anyone yet. What she experienced, we don't know, positive encounters with bipeds were apparently rare. The life in the shelter with all the unfamiliar impressions unsettles her additionally. No wonder she meets people with some reserve and initially approaches new situations with suspicion. She must first understand that no one means her harm. We are convinced that she can learn trust. Behind her initially cautious gaze, warmth, sensitivity, curiosity, and great kindness shine through – wonderful foundations to work with her. For this to succeed, she needs the right person. She is not a female dog for beginners by breed. She is looking for someone who gives her security, reads her signals correctly, and understands that closeness and attachment take time and must not be forced. Patience, calmness, and clear structures are particularly important. Popsicle is a magnificent and especially beautiful female dog. She has an estimated shoulder height of around 60-65 cm and weighs about 30 kg. From her type, she reminds us of a herding dog mix. Dogs of this kind are often independent, vigilant, but also deeply loyal and build attachments to their people not superficially. They are not made for a hectic city life – a rural environment with a fenced garden or yard is ideal for them. At the Hunde-ABC, Popsicle starts from the very beginning: she is not familiar with things like house training, living in the house, or wearing a collar and leash – here, she still needs diligent training. Physical and mental variety are also important to ensure her well-being. We have not yet tested her compatibility with other dogs, but she gets along well with her direct pen neighbors. She has no experience with cats. Where is the person who perfectly fits the raw diamond Popsicle? A foster home could also make such a valuable difference. Die wunderschöne Popsicle ist eine echte Erscheinung… Wenn man sie im kleinen Zwinger sieht, möchte man die große Schönheit am liebsten sofort rauslassen und sie laufen und rennen sehen. Sie ist noch sehr schüchtern mit fremden Menschen, aber man man merkt, dass sie Kontakt möchte und endlich alle Herzen erobern will. Nicht jeder Hund läuft Menschen sofort freudig entgegen. Manche haben gelernt, vorsichtig zu sein und ihre Umgebung genau zu beobachten, um sich selbst zu schützen. Unsere ungefähr 2-jährige Popsicle ist ein typisches Beispiel dafür. Popsicle hat ein gutes Herz, auch wenn es bisher leider niemanden gab, dem sie es schenken konnte. Was sie erlebt hat, wissen wir nicht, positive Begegnungen mit Zweibeinern waren offenbar selten. Das Leben im Shelter mit all den fremden Eindrücken verunsichert sie zusätzlich. Wenn sie in den Auslauf darf, lebt sie förmlich auf, sie strahlt über das ganze Gesicht und lacht alle freudig an. Rassebedingt ist sie keine Hündin für Anfänger. Sie sucht Menschen, die ihr Sicherheit geben, ihre Signale richtig lesen können und verstehen, dass Nähe und Bindung Zeit brauchen und nicht erzwungen werden dürfen. Geduld, Ruhe und klare Strukturen sind dabei besonders wichtig. Popsicle wünscht sich ein ländliches Zuhause mit einem schönen, eingezäunten Garten. Popsicle ist eine prachtvolle und besonders schöne Hündin. Sie hat eine geschätzte Schulterhöhe von rund 60- 65 cm und wiegt etwa 30-35 kg. Vom Typ her erinnert sie an einen Herdenschutzhund-Mix. Hunde dieser Art sind oft eigenständig, wachsam, aber auch unheimlich treu und bauen Bindungen zu ihren Menschen nicht oberflächlich auf. Sie sind nicht für ein hektisches Leben in der Stadt gemacht. Sie könnte ein Bucovina-Mix sein, das ist eine beliebte Rasse, die in Rumänien oft vorkommt. Beim Hunde-ABC fängt Popsicle ganz von vorne an: Dinge wie Stubenreinheit, das Leben im Haus oder das Tragen von Geschirr und Leine kennt sie nicht – hier muss noch fleißig trainiert werden. Auch körperliche und geistige Abwechslung sind wichtig, um ihr Wohlbefinden zu garantieren. Mit anderen Hunden versteht sich Popsicle gut. Nach einer positiven Vorkontrolle und der Übernahme einer Schutzgebühr reist Popsicle kastriert, gechipt, geimpft, entwurmt, entfloht und mit einem EU-Heimtierausweis. Wo ist der Mensch, der perfekt zu Rohdiamant Popsicle passt? Auch eine Pflegestelle könnte den so wertvollen Unterschied machen. Vielen Dank, Sophie, dass du ihre Namenspatenschaft übernommen hast.
