Primrose

Shih Tzu · Female · Young · 2 years

Could you be my perfect match? Hello! My name is I can live with Dogs Cats Children MY story Primrose came to us from the pound because her time was up and she was days away from being out to sleep.Primrose has clearly lead a very sheltered life. Everything has been new to her. Some things she is excited about like walks. Other things like the dogs in her foster home were very overwhelming to start with. But in the last few weeks she has blossomed into a wonderful little dog. Who will make the perfect companion for someone.Primrose is house clean and crate trained. She enjoys time in the garden but prefers long naps on the sofa. She walks well on the lead and is happy and excited to meet new people. She is great with visitors. She has yet to touch a toy or play with the other dogs so would be more than happy as an only dog.Primrose is a super sweet and loving little dog. Any family would be lucky to have her. MY PERFECT HOME Primrose needs a secure garden with 6ft fencing and no gaps at all. As with all dogs on going training will be needed. She can live with other dogs, cats and children 8+. OUR ADOPTION PROCESS 1 Fill in application form Please fill in the form as honestly as possible. Our team will read the application and make sure it is the right match for the dog being applied for. 2 We will arrange a home check If you and the dogs seem a good fit we will call you to discuss further, arrange to meet the dog and arrange a physical home check at your home. 3 Matched with your dog Once we have agreed together that this is the right dog for you we will arrange for your dog to come to you. Depending whether this is via kennels or foster homes it may vary. 4 Ongoing Support We love to keep in touch with everyone and hope you will reach out if you have any concerns or questions. We work with a number of local trainers and behaviourists too who can provide support. About Primrose

What life with Primrose looks like

Primrose is a small young adult shih tzu dog waiting at Angels 4 Dogs Rescue in United Kingdom.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Primrose, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Primrose?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Angels 4 Dogs Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Primrose on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Primrose if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Angels 4 Dogs Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Primrose already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Primrose isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Angels 4 Dogs Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Primrose and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
