Priva April 2023 Our handsome Priva also got to pose for the photographer! Isn't she cute? Priva is a medium-sized dog, born in 2019. She was brought in by veterinarian Pieter Claus and is now with us at the shelter. Priva comes from the streets of Curaao. Priva loves playing and being with other dogs. Dandy and Balou are her friends. She is still quite shy and needs to get used to new people. This sometimes shows when she tries to distance herself from strangers, so you should introduce her with a bit of patience. If you give her time, she can learn a lot and make great progress! 18 February 2023 Priva is doing well at the shelter. She enjoys playing with her doggy friends; Nikkie, Dandy, and Balou at the shelter. 07-06-2022 Dandy, Balou, Nikkie, and Priva having a great time in the paddock paradise and as an attraction on the walkway of the manure cart 2020 Priva is a medium-sized dog, born in 2019. About Priva

What life with Priva looks like

Priva is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Stichting Pippi in Netherlands.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Priva, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Priva?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Stichting Pippi handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Priva on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Priva if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Stichting Pippi will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Priva already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Priva isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Stichting Pippi early rather than rehoming privately; they know Priva and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
