Adopt Priya

Mixed Breed Cat · Female · Kitten · 4 months

Well hi there! My name is Priya, I am a 13-week-old precious girl. Did you know: Black, black and white and white and black kittens/cats are the ones who struggle to find homes the most. My personality: I am a sweet little girl, I love to chirp and have a good fuss from the humans here. I spend most of my day exploring the cattery, and I love chasing after pompoms… in fact, anything that moves I will get it I am super fast! My ideal home: I am looking for my fur-ever home, one that would have LOTS for me to do. You see I am always on the move and I LOVE to play. I haven’t been around the other cats much and I do like to hiss at them when I am roaming around but I may like a friend with slow introductions. Access to outdoors: Once I have grown up to a bigger cat I would love to explore the big wide world. Toileting: I am litter trained, at the moment I prefer wood pellet litter. Do you have a Priya-shaped hole in your heart that needs filling? My adoption fee is £175

About Priya

What life with Priya looks like

Priya is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed cat cat waiting at Rain Rescue in United Kingdom.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Priya, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Priya?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Rain Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Priya on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Priya if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Rain Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Priya already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Priya isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Rain Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Priya and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (the shelter's own language). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
