Raiser

Labrador Retriever · Male · Adult · 6 years

BIRTH DATE: 15/12/2019 BREED: LABRADOR RETRIEVER TEMPERAMENT: Raiser is a big, very good, noble dog with an enormous heart. He can be a bit shy at first but once he gains confidence, he forms strong bonds and loves affection. All of his largeness is matched by his gentle nature. He has no issues with other dogs; he is sociable and playful. He has coexisted with several dogs in the kennel enclosure without any problems. Raiser needs someone who has patience and can give him the time and calmness he needs, and in return, they will have a great dog. He is not compatible with children because he is afraid of them. He needs a quiet environment, preferably a house with a garden. He is not suitable for an apartment or city life. If you want to give Raiser a chance, send an email to Jessica Fernández. Raiser was picked up from the street with his mother Hada. This animal was abandoned.

About Raiser

What life with Raiser looks like

Raiser is a adult labrador retriever dog waiting at SOS Golden in Spain.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Raiser, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Raiser?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SOS Golden handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Raiser on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Raiser if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SOS Golden will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Raiser already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Raiser isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SOS Golden early rather than rehoming privately; they know Raiser and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
