Kassidi

Mixed Breed · Female · Senior · 12 years

BIRTH DATE: 1/11/2014 CHARACTER: She is a calm and obedient dog. She is friendly with people and very good with children. She walks well on a leash, doesn't pull on it. She has walked in an urban environment and isn't afraid of cars or noise, although she might get scared by people or objects out of place, bicycles nearby, or people running. She doesn't get along well with other dogs, although work is being done on that, managing distances. Therefore, the best environment for her is a quiet one. She is very intelligent, knows how to stay home alone, and has her independent side. The little Kassidi appeared in the middle of the road one day coming out of the animal shelter. Fortunately, one of our volunteers stopped and was able to pick her up as she was in danger of being hit by a car. Kassi is a little one looking for her forever family, will you be the one?

About Kassidi

What life with Kassidi looks like

Kassidi is a senior mixed breed dog waiting at SOS Golden in Spain.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee. Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kassidi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kassidi?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SOS Golden handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kassidi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kassidi if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SOS Golden will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Kassidi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kassidi isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SOS Golden early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kassidi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
