Rapunzel

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Rapunzel was found abandoned at the edge of a village. She has a large scar on her back, but we unfortunately do not know what happened to her. Additionally, the cute little puppy has a shortened tail. Rapunzel is approximately 2 years old and is in the prime of her life. She is friendly and relaxed with people and enjoys cuddles very much. She also gets along well with other animals and currently lives with fellow animal Eisbärchen Leroy. She has a comfortable size of about 46 cm and 12 kg. Rapunzel could be a Terrier-Bracken-Mix. These breeds are often intelligent, attentive, and very people-oriented. However, they also have their own heads and personalities. Therefore, we are looking for people who enjoy challenging her both physically and mentally, for example, through long walks, hide-and-seek games, or nose work. With loving, consistent guidance, she will develop into a loyal and charming companion who brings a lot of joy to life with her lively nature. Whether Rapunzel has ever had a home before, we do not know. However, it is likely that she has not yet learned the dog ABCs of living in a household. Therefore, Rapunzel will definitely have to sit back down and learn again. But the clever mouse will surely pick up quickly. As an additional support and team-building measure, she would certainly appreciate a visit to a positively working dog training class. And beauty is directly linked to usefulness. Two birds with one stone. Rapunzel is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. She brings an EU pet passport with her and can be adopted after a positive. Are you Rapunzel's fairy tale prince or princess? Thank you to the community. Thanks to you, Rapunzel not only has a pretty name but also a real chance. As of: 14.04.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 14.04.2026

About Rapunzel

What life with Rapunzel looks like

Rapunzel is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Rapunzel, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Rapunzel?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Rapunzel on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Rapunzel if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Rapunzel already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Rapunzel isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Rapunzel and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
