Remi (2)

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

Beautiful Remi was rehomed by us November of last year but due to a change in the family’s working circumstances she isn’t getting the time that she deserves. Remi is now neutered and vaccinated, she will be 2 years old in January and is now in the Stranraer area and is used to living with a 10 year old male springer who she constantly wants to play with so another active dog for company would be lovely. Please contact us if you can offer Remi an experienced active home. November 2024 This is beautiful Remi, she is looking for an active new home with owners around constantly where she can have company and further training. Her current owner works on a farm and finds it very difficult to keep an eye on Remi constantly so she has been keeping herself amused and showing too much attention when the other animals decide to run. Her owner has built her an outdoor pen but Remi hates it and would much rather be with her owner or with the other dogs. She gets very overstimulated at the farm and finds it difficult to unwind and relax there with so much to do and so many places to go. Remis parents have both been shown and appear calm balanced dogs, she does also have strong working bloodlines so is looking for a home that understands how this affects her training and personality. Remi would love the company of an older calmer mentor to play with and learn from. She has been crate trained and likes to have her soft toys in her crate with her to cuddle, outside the crate the toys are fair game and are very quickly destroyed. Her owners have been working on her recall and it’s going well but with all youngsters it is a work in progress, she is responding to their whistle quite well so should quickly convert to a dog whistle recall. Remi is very good orientated which helps with her training. She’s walked on a 10metre flexi lead or a slip lead at the moment. When Remi meets other dogs she gets excited and wants to play with anyone up for a game. She’s fine when she knows them and calms quickly. Around cats again she gets excited and wants to play with them, so careful introductions would be needed. She can be very excited around older children but calms quickly with a good introduction. She’s too boisterous and accidentally clumsy for small children so we would be looking at around 10 years plus or slightly younger dog savvy children. Remi is a great traveller and will snooze on the back seat with her head on your shoulder. Remi isn’t yet neutered and this will be done as part of our Adoption Contract, she is vaccinated and has up to date worm and flea treatments. She’s currently fed on a good quality puppy kibble. She does have one little bump on her hind left foot which doesn’t bother her and hasn’t changed but her owners have been monitoring it. If you feel you could offer this beautiful youngster who is nearly 10 months old and loves to snuggle up with her owners a home where her needs can be met with time, exercise and potentially extra training like man-trailing, scent work, gundog training please contact us. Remi is currently in the Wakefield area and will be rehomed with her 5 weeks free Agria Insurance and her Adoption Contract. Her breeder is unable to help her at this time. About Remi (2)

What life with Remi (2) looks like

Remi (2) is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at GSP Rescue UK in United Kingdom.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Remi (2), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Remi (2)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. GSP Rescue UK handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Remi (2) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Remi (2) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — GSP Rescue UK will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Remi (2) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Remi (2) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with GSP Rescue UK early rather than rehoming privately; they know Remi (2) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (the shelter's own language). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
